Trini Lopez: The Legend & The Music! Live @ Cal State U - Director: Chip Miller

Desert C.A.M. Studios presents Trini Lopez live at the Cal State University San Bernardino, Indian Wells Theater - May 2014! Captured by filmmaker Chip Miller, who a week earlier premiered his ambitious new music video for Trini's new single, "Fly Like An Eagle." Trini was appearing at Cal State as a guest of benefactors, Richard and Jan Oliphant, and a full house of University big brass and supporters. Trini appeared there to talk about his life and perhaps, play a few acoustic tunes. Miller had his Camera Operator set up in the theater to record - totally unrehearsed - Trini's entire hour of talk and music. And it was a good thing we did, or this magical evening and performance would have only been seen that evening at Cal State. Trini, also unrehearsed, at last second chose three wonderful traditional Mexican tunes, and gave one hell of a show. He demonstrated how he has all his musical and singing chops, and might even be better than he was in his prime. On an upcoming PBS TV Pledge Special to premiere on June 4th, 2016. Trini joins us in a celebration to The Kingston Trio, joining other guest artists Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles, Al Jardine of The Beach Boys, Barry "Eve of Destruction" McGuire, The Limeliters, Josh Reynolds (son of Trio's late Nick Reynolds, Sana Christian, Henry Diltz of The Modern Folk Quartet, and Shari Belafonte, along with a rare appearance by Trio co-founder, the legendary Bob Shane.
