16mm sound colour film "RIDING THE HURRICANE" GB 1988
I spent my whole working life in the Electricity Industry in the days when it was a National set-up - the C.E.G.B. (Central Electricity Generating Board). They had a film unit which produced many excellent films for training and public awareness.
Sadly when we were privatised most of our 16mm film copies were consigned to the skip! I did try to rescue one or two!
This is a factual film - partly for training but ideal for showing to the public on Power Station Open Days. Because of the integrated electrictity network in the UK, serious storm damage causing circuit interuptions was able to be overcome.
We certainly used this film among many to show at Fawley Power Station (near Southampton) on the Public Open Days each year.
(I make no money from these uploads)
