Suspect Identified as laatest alleged hoarder in McAllen, Texas

Arrested and charged.
63-year-old Jose Antonio Moli. He faces 68 counts of cruelty to animals. The latest alleged hoarder in McAllen, Texas, in less than a week. Police took him into custody at his home in the 300 block of West Fern Thursday. The scene all too common in the R-G-V. Taken out of the house? 60 cats, 6 dogs, 1 turtle, and 1 bird. All in one house. I'm told officers had been working on this for a while and then got the arrest warrant. I'm not sure how officers got tipped off or how many calls were made to the house before the arrest. No word right now on his bond but if it's similar to the case over on Ozark Avenue discovered over the weekend - where registered nurses Cindy Wells and Leticia Sanders faced 94 animal cruelty charges each - and $188,000 bond each - Jose Moli could be looking at $1,136,000 bond. Now to the animals. PVAS - or the Palm Valley Animal Society - needs your help. They are just overwhelmed. So many animals before the first hoarding mess, then this second hoarding situation, if you can, call them, get in touch. Fosters, rescues, groomers, you name it. Let's get these dogs back to their best lives.
