Interview with Director, Producer and Cast of 'Hari ng Tondo'

One of the entries at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) is this movie Hari ng Tondo (Where I Am King) about a Filipino family and the once-eminent Manila district of Tondo.

The main cast - Director Carlos Siguion-Reyna, Writer-Producer Bibeth Orteza, Editor Manet A. Dayrit and actors Robert Arevalo, Cris Villonco and Rafa Siguion-Reyna - obliged a long interview on Sunday, September 7, 2014 with Waves newspaper publishers and editors Teresa M. Torralba and Ramon "Mon" Torralba, and journalist Romy Marquez, editor of The Filipino Web Channel and associate editor of the English-language Balita, Toronto's largest Filipino newspaper.

Asked what the movie is essentially about, Director Carlos Siguion-Reyna replies: "It's about coming to terms with your illusions".
