Copperhead Snake Trap ~ Venomous Snake Release

Copperhead snake trap leads to a venomous snake release. Her message read, "I have a copperhead snake in a minnow trap, can anyone help with a relocation". I was about 5 miles away. So off I went!
Sure enough, she had a minnow trap with a copperhead in it. Like Bob Hansler, she had been trapping snakes with minnow traps for a while, but she did not want to mess with venomous snakes. This was an unusual herping adventure.

Relocation within a short distance from the capture site often leads to more snake survival. I was able to relocate it not far from where it was caught by opening the minnow trap carefully. The copperhead crawled away behind a locked gate.
