Furniture shopping at Loods 5

In this video, I’d like to share my experience on shopping for furniture at Loods 5, Zaandam. I managed to make the trip there before the hard lockdown came into effect across the country. When you do an online search for furniture in Amsterdam, so many results come up and it can be really hard to know where exactly to go for both good quality furniture and customer service.

This video gives you an insight on what Loods 5 looks like and my overall shopping experience. I should also clarify that Zaandam isn’t actually within Amsterdam, but is just north of Amsterdam and is extremely closeby. There’s also Loods 5 Garage which is an outlet concept where you can get discounted items at 30-70% off. I haven’t had to chance to visit this place yet, but have heard you can pick up some great pieces there.

Finally, if you can’t find what you’re looking for at Loods 5 – I was also recommended Fonq, Westwing and Kave Home (although I haven’t personally tried any of these). There is of course a huge market for second hand and vintage furniture too - I cannot wait for the lockdown to be lifted to explore these stores as well!
