Camping in BEAUTIFUL BC! - Yoho National Park & Emerald Lake
Exploring Yoho National Park and the FAMOUS Emerald Lake, THEN free camping back in Beautiful British Columbia! It's where this RV Canada Travel Vlog all began and it feels like home, the Rocky Mountains.
Hey hey welcome back you guys, and thank you for being here. After leaving Tunnel Mountain in Banff National Park, we began RVing West on the Trans Canada again, stopping by a few viewpoints like Castle Mountain we had missed passing through previously. Passing through the Rocky Mountains really does feel like entering home territory again, like when we passed them to begin the adventure East at the start of this summer as novices.
Our first big stop for the day was the pretty world famous Emerald Lake, and I imagine you can guess why. The water looked unreal, and it was super busy there even though we're in fall now. Lucky for us we somehow snagged front row RV parking haha. Win! We checked out the Emerald Lake cottages there and imagined what that life must be like, watched a random guy sing and enjoyed the picture perfect nature. We even managed to get an awesome Yoho National Park & Emerald Lake two in one magnet talk about a good find. They had so much nice merchandise there though, magnets, patches, stickers, all suuuper cool.
After the busy tourist scene of Emerald Lake it was off to our first Boondocking free camping site we stayed at, Waitabit Creek. It's a British Columbia Recreation Campsite so you are generally allowed 14 days free, or sometimes minimal fees if serviced and we love them. The glacier River running right beside our RV campsite was perfect. You can even see Glacier National Park in the distance which we also visit passing through. We can't wait to continue to RV BC more and explore our own home province and get to know it more. You'll soon see just how diverse a small patch can be from another area, and we've never even headed north in BC yet. Northern BC RV next year maybe? Haha.
The across Canada RV travel vlog section may be entering BC again, but there is still lots more RV camping to be had everyone. With lots more recreation sites, and a huge array of camping you'll see why BC if so world famous. Hope you guys enjoyed today's RV blog video, and we'll see you next video Wednesday!
Best wishes,
Luke and Alysha
