Bobby Storey's death reported on RTÉ News (21st June 2020)

RTÉ News reports on the death of prominent republican, Sinn Fein member and former Provisional IRA volunteer Bobby Storey.

Originally from the Marrowbone area of North Belfast, Storey served a total of 20 years in prison on a variety of charges. He also played a key role in the Maze Prison escape in September 1983, the largest prison escape in British penal history. After his final prison release in 1998, Storey got involved in politics, eventually becoming the northern chairman of Sinn Fein.

Storey died at a hospital in England on 21st June 2020, aged 64, following an unsuccessful lung transplant surgery.
