James Brokenshire's death reported on RTÉ News (8th October 2021)

RTÉ News reports on the death of the former Secretary of State for Northern Ireland James Brokenshire. Brokenshire was elected to the UK parliament as an Conservative MP in 2005 and was appointed Northern Ireland Secretary in July 2016 by the then-British prime minister Theresa May. However, he resigned his position in January 2018 for health reasons. He died on 7th October 2021 at the age of 53 after a long battle with lung cancer.
