West Virginia sheriff shot dead while eating lunch

A drug-fighting West Virginia sheriff was shot to death while eating lunch in his car in a parking lot on Wednesday.
As Reuters reported, according to a witness who was walking toward the lot when the shooting took place sheriff Eugene Crum was shot at least three times, twice in the head.
Local media said the suspected shooter, 37-years-old Tennis Melvin Maynard, was chased by a deputy sheriff, wounded and captured after a fire exchange.
Maynard was then taken to hospital. His condition remains unknown.
