Print a Calendar in Offset Part 1: Platesetting

One of our largest ongoing projects at the university is a cooperation between the German Chinese faculty and cultural museum in Stuttgart. We were tasked to create 700 calendars displaying pieces of ancient Asian history that combine the German and Chinese language. The first semester was pre-press, and this semester we will be producing them. This is part one of the printing process: making the offset plates.

Next week I will be back with a report about the actual offset printing using these plates.

Hope you enjoy!
