The prodrug is the drugs which are inactive at the initial level and then they are converted to active form when they reach the liver after metabolism, hence these drugs are known as prodrugs. Examples- Levodopa is a prodrug for dopamine

प्रोड्रग ऐसे ड्रग्स हैं, जो लेते समय सक्रीय नहीं होते पर जैसे ही ये दवाएं लिवर में पहुँचते हैं तो ये ड्रग्स एक्टिव फॉर्म में बदल जाते है और अपना प्रभाव दिखते हैं. उदहारण - लेवोडोपा जो की एक प्रोड्रग है बाद में वह डोपामाइन में बदल जाता है
