All-New 2025 Toyota Crown Signia first look // The first Crown SUV... Could be a Lexus!
This is a Motormouth couple car video looking at the all-new 2025 Toyota Crown Signia SUV. We are in LA with Toyota for two special unveilings, we’ll start with the 2025 Toyota Crown Signia SUV! What do you think of the design?
The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia is assembled in Japan and uses the same platform that underpins the Crown sedan. It will be hitting dealerships next summer.
This 2025 Toyota Crown Signia certainly has a Lexus vibe to it, Toyota really focused on giving this SUV a more upscale look. In the US, there are two trims available but in Canada only one and it’s the top Limited trim which you see in the photos. The saddle tan leather trimmed seats with double stitching, quilting, and piping with a bronze finished trim on the dash gives it a more luxury feel. In the US, cloth and Softex seats are standard but the top trim adds leather. Tan or black interior colours are available.
The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia comes standard with dual 12.3” screens, a touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android and a digital driver display.
Toyota says their engineers spent many hours studying and engineering reductions in noise, vibration and harshness for this SUV. Noise minimizing materials include acoustic glass on the front side windows, a dash silencer and an engine cover made of acoustic absorbing materials. Toyota also focused on the seats and the comfort level with moderate bolsters that cradle the front seat passengers.
There is just one powertrain option and it’s a hybrid. A 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with two electric motors, it’s matched to an eCVT and has a combined 243 horsepower, standard AWD.
The 2025 Toyota Crown Signia AWD system has a dedicated rear electric motor to deliver extra traction when needed and it can tow up to 2700 pounds. The manufacturers estimated fuel economy is 6.5L/100 km, 36 MPG combined.
Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date.
