This is a Motormouth couple car review of the all-new 2023 Kia EV6 GT high-performance electric crossover. This performance EV comes with 576 horsepower and 545 lb-ft of torque. It has a 77.4 kWh battery and gets 332 km/206 miles of EV range, standard AWD. The EV6 GT offers 6.1” of ground clearance and has a sporty exterior design with high gloss black mirrors, body coloured flushed door handles, a gloss black trim, GT badging, LED headlights, a solar glass windshield and front doors, 21” GT alloy wheels, a tire repair kit and you’ll notice there’s no rear wiper. The sportiness of the exterior carries over into the cabin with GT design elements including sport front bucket seats, leatherette upholstery with suede inserts, metal painted interior door handles, a leather wrapped steering wheel and shifter and GT badging. The seats are manual, there are no power seats offered on this model or driver seat memory, however, there is a height adjustment and also driver seat power lumbar support. The Kia EV6 GT model comes standard with a heat pump, 12.3” dual panoramic displays with navigation and Kia Connect, wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a head-up display,
wireless charger, meridian audio system, heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, a sunroof and a power liftgate. The Kia EV6 GT has a 10.9 kW onboard charger. With a Level 2 charger, it will charge in just over 7 hours and with a DC Fast Charger 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes. The EV6 GT comes standard with an 800-volt system for ultra-fast charging capability. The Kia Ev6 GT model is priced at $74,495 CAD/$61,400 USD. It does not qualify for the Canadian Federal EV rebate of $5,000 or a tax credit in the US.
