NUTRITIONAL INFO (per large piece):
229 calories, fat 10.8g, carb 28.4g, protein 7.1g

Preparation:
In a bowl, whisk together oat flour, tapioca starch, baking soda, and salt.

In a saucepan, combine the water, butter, and cocoa powder. Bring the mixture to a boil.

In another bowl, add the eggs, vanilla extract, applesauce, Greek yogurt, and maple syrup. Whisk until well combined.

Incorporate the wet ingredients into the flour mixture, stirring gently.

Pour the hot cocoa mixture into the batter and stir until you achieve a smooth and pourable consistency.

Line and coat a sheet pan (preferably a standard half sheet pan) with cooking spray or parchment paper.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

Bake at 350°F (180°C) for approximately 20 minutes.

While the cake is baked, you can prepare the frosting. In a saucepan, combine the milk, maple syrup, cocoa powder, and oat flour.

Heat the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and starts to bubble.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the chopped walnuts.

Pour the warm frosting over the top of the cake, spreading it evenly to the edges.

Allow the cake to cool for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2-3 hours, before cutting into 15 equal pieces.

Serve and enjoy!
