Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem Takes Possession of Titular Church in Rome | EWTN News Nightly

Against the backdrop of heightened tensions in the Middle East, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem, took possession of his titular Church in Rome, solidifying the longstanding connection between the Holy See and the Holy Land. Built in the 15th century, the church was assigned to the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem in 1945 by Pope Pius XII. Originally scheduled for April 15th, the ceremony was postponed when Iran launched air strikes on Israel. EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief Andreas Thonhauser has more.
