I absolutely love this alternate arrangement of the chorus from Girl Afraid by the Smiths that Johnny Marr performed for an Instagram video.
The blending of chords and melody just gives the chorus riff such a fullness in sound without losing a sense of the melody, making it fitting for a solo guitar performance.
I love that he had this arrangement on the ready for that insta demonstration which makes me wonder how many more tricks he has up his sleeves! 😯
