NDTV continues its special coverage on the death of 27-year-old techie Yuvraj Mehta, calling it a case of gross negligence rather than an accident. Investigations reveal that two prior warnings-one from January 2 this year after a truck fell into the same pit, and another official letter from 2023 flagging the danger-were ignored by Noida authorities. Despite funds being sanctioned and risks clearly identified, no barricades, warning signs, or safety measures were put in place. Yuvraj's car plunged into the same pit on January 17, leading to his death. Officials have since been suspended, a builder arrested, and an SIT probe launched, but NDTV questions why action came only after a life was lost.
