AAP, which fielded around 5,000 candidates, failed to convert its campaign into meaningful gains. The defeat of key leader Payal Sakariya in Surat added to the blow. State president Isudan Gadhvi alleged political pressure and claimed action against party leaders and social media accounts impacted their campaign, even as the BJP tightened its grip on urban Gujarat.
