Sunset to Night Transition with PBR Specular Lighting | GLSL Water Shader | Panda3D Devlog #10

Devlog about developing a game environment, built solo using the Panda3D game engine.

In this video I refine the sky rendering pipeline with a sunset to night transition using a custom GLSL shader. I improved the tessellation lod step in water shader for more stable wave detail and added PBR specular lighting driven by the directional light (Cook-Torrance GGX), trying to do little step closer to realism.

The project continues as an exploration of the core techniques behind 3D game engine Panda3D, bringing them all together.
