Visualising F1 Technology With Simpleplanes - Ground Effect And The Lotus 79

I've been obsessed lately with the brilliant Simpleplanes game on PC and mobile device, and how it easily and accurately can illustrate a variety of really cool engineering concepts with cars, planes and more

To show how ground effect works in race cars i built an approximation of the 1978 title winning Lotus 79 with and without ground effect, to show how this invention both dominated and changed motorsport.
