Big Wreck - Albatross (Acoustic) / DiMarzio Black Angel Piezo and Mag

DiMarzio‬'s new Black Angel Piezo and Magnetic pickups have been sitting in my review queue for awhile now, so I decided to do a cover of one of my favourite songs of all time, Albatross by the amazing Big Wreck. Belted vocals are definitely good for the soul!

All acoustic guitar tones were done using the Black Angel pickups either together or panned wide in stereo. No preamp or active electronics - straight into my Apogee Duet. Some EQ and compression were applied post. The piezo really works perfectly in concert with the soundhole pickup, adding depth and warmth to the low end and filling out the sound.
