BREAKING! UNEMPLOYMENT, $1200 SECOND STIMULUS CHECK & STIMULUS PACKAGE UPDATE 09/30/2020 (NOW! TALKS FAIL)

Negotiations between White House Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi have fallen apart. This is not the news I wanted to report as today is the last day to pass a stimulus package before entering elections.

Monday Nancy Pelosi and Democrats in the House of Representatives released their new stimulus package proposal. It is a revised smaller version of the HEROES Act. It comes in at 2.2 trillion in stimulus provisions. Included in it was an FPUC extension, stimulus checks, airline bailout money and a ton of provisions we have been looking for. They will be moving forward with this bill knowing that it will likely not progress past the Senate. This will be only for the purpose of campaigning to be able to say they attempted to pass stimulus, but it was the Republicans fault nothing passed.

We were hoping to hear that Steve Mnuchin’s counteroffer of a 1.5 trillion-dollar stimulus package like the Problem Solvers Caucus Proposal was accepted by Nancy Pelosi and she would move forward with that bill.

Although stimulus package negotiations have taken a bad turn, we still can expect to see executive actions roll out from President Trump to provide enhance unemployment benefits and stimulus checks.
