Hiking Lion's Head | Cape Town’s Iconic Mountain Adventure! 🏞️

Join us hiking Lion’s Head, one of Cape Town’s most iconic trails with panoramic views of Table Mountain, Camps Bay, and the Atlantic Ocean. With an elevation of 669 meters (2,195 feet) above sea level, Lion’s Head is an exhilarating and rewarding hike that only takes 90 minutes to 2 1/2 hours round-trip, depending on pace.

TIPS: We definitely recommend bringing plenty of water and maybe electrolytes, as this hike is not for the faint of heart. There are scrambling sections where you must use all four limbs to scale a rock; and we did witness a pregnant couple decide to turn back because of the intensity. We felt pretty safe, though at one point we noticed a man by himself, suspiciously watching Cat, and following us too closely for a while, so we assimilated into a larger group until he eventually passed. Just stay alert and be careful not to end up alone on the mountain.

Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a first-time visitor to Cape Town, this video will help you prepare for one of South Africa's most scenic hikes.
