IDF special forces uncover major Hamas tunnel with suspected Hostage blood inside

The IDF has uncovered a major Hamas where Israeli hostages were likely kept. Commandos of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit found the underground shaft, located in the middle of a busy civilian district of the city of Khan Younis. An elevator led down to a major tunnel which branched off into other rooms. The IDF said forensic evidence, including blood samples, were found inside which strongly suggest hostages taken by Hamas on Oct 7 were kept there. The tunnel was uncovered as battles rage between the IDF and Hamas in Khan Younis, including a tense firefight caught on first-person cameras. Troops of the 101st Paratrooper Brigade battled Hamas fighters in close quarters, as bullets and explosions ricocheted around the inside of a house. Hamas terrorists fought back, using rocket launchers and mortars against Merkava tanks and IDF troop formations, but have been unable to stop the Israeli army advancing into the Gaza Strip. Israel is now in full control of Gaza City in the north, and is still fighting for control of Khan Younis and Al Bureij, in the south of the strip.
