The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination which is composed of six major elements: Hemisfèric (IMAX cinema and digital projections), the Umbracle (garden and parking bay), the Prince Felipe Museum of Sciences (an innovative center of interactive science), the Oceanographic (the largest aquarium in Europe with over 500 marine species) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia (opera dedicated programming). And the Agora, which gives the complex a multifunctional space.

The Oceanographic in Valencia, is the largest aquarium in Europe, with a capacity for 45,000 living creatures of 500 different species. In it, the main marine ecosystems of the planet are represented.
The Oceanographic consists of different buildings, which contain representations of the most important ecosystems in each of the seas and oceans.
