Dr Anne Maltempi is a Historian of early modern Sicily focused on cultural and intellectual history/Mediterranean identity/ early modern concepts of race. She is also a writer and editor of H-Sicily, a scholarship dedicated to Sicilian and southern Italian history from late antiquity to early modernity. Instructor of History at Kent State and the University of Akron, she is also the creator of the Sicilian school on Instagram, where she explores and details the history of Sicily.
