What if Islam never existed? No algebra. No camera. No hospital. #HiddenIslamicHistory

What if a huge part of world history was quietly pushed into the shadows?
This video tells the story of the Islamic Golden Age, a period when knowledge from across civilizations came together and changed the future of science, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy.
Around 800 CE, while much of Europe was struggling with plague, political instability, and intellectual stagnation, the city of Baghdad became one of the greatest centers of knowledge in human history.
At the heart of this movement stood Bayt al-Hikmah (The House of Wisdom) — a place where scholars translated and expanded knowledge from Greek, Indian, and Persian traditions.
From this intellectual movement came groundbreaking contributions that shaped the modern world:
• Al-Khwarizmi developed the foundations of Algebra.
• Ibn al-Haytham transformed our understanding of optics and vision, laying the groundwork for the camera and modern optical science.
• Al-Zahrawi designed surgical instruments and techniques that influenced medicine for centuries.
• Ibn Sina (Avicenna) wrote The Canon of Medicine, a medical encyclopedia used in European universities for over 600 years.
These scholars were not chasing fame. Their focus was truth, research, and understanding the world.
Centuries later, many of these works were translated into Latin and spread across Europe, playing a major role in the intellectual revival that eventually led to the European Renaissance.
Yet today, the names behind many of these contributions are rarely discussed in mainstream history education.
This video is not about rewriting history.
It is about remembering the parts that were forgotten.
If you are interested in history, science, philosophy, and the real origins of modern knowledge, this story is worth listening to.
