South East Water's 100kW solar panel installation at WatersEdge, Frankston

On 16 January 2017 South East Water officially switched on a 100kW solar array on the roof of our Frankston HQ. The 384 panels, installed by Clean Energy Council accredited Envirogroup, are expected to meet more than 10 per cent of the building's electricity needs, and as much as a third of the power used at WatersEdge during office hours in the summer months.

The project forms part of South East Water’s upcoming pledge to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, a target established by the Andrews Labor Government in the recently released Water for Victoria plan.
