The rate of PTSD among domestic violence survivors is staggeringly high compared to that of the general population. This can make the road of recovery feel incredibly isolating.

This is just one reason why connection to other survivors is so important to the healing process. Sharing experiences, receiving emotional support within the safe space of community is found to be just as effective as 1-on-1 therapy.
