Weight Gain Laddoo for Babies & Toddlers | Dry Dates + Ragi | No Sugar No Jaggery
✨ Dry Dates & Ragi Weight Gain Laddoo (10m+) ✨
This sugar-free, jaggery-free laddoo is perfect for babies & toddlers. Made with natural sweetness from dry dates, healthy fats from nuts, and calcium-rich ragi — a nutrient-dense snack for daily weight gain 🤎
✨ Ingredients
• 20 dry dates (chuhara) – deseeded
• 20 almonds
• 20 cashews
• 8 walnuts
• 2 cups makhana
• 1 cup ragi flour
• 2 tsp flaxseed
• 4–6 tsp desi ghee (as needed)
• Green cardamom powder (optional)
✨ Method (Step-by-Step)
1️⃣ Roast the Dry Dates (Chuhara)
• Add dry dates to a pan.
• Roast on medium flame for 1–2 minutes until slightly crisp.
• Cool & grind into a fine powder.
(Roasting helps grind better.)
2️⃣ Roast the Dry Fruits
In the same pan, roast:
• Almonds
• Cashews
• Walnuts
• Makhana
Roast on medium flame, stirring continuously until they turn light golden & aromatic.
Let them cool completely & grind into a fine powder.
3️⃣ Roast the Flaxseeds
• Add flaxseeds to the pan.
• Roast for 30–40 seconds until they pop slightly.
4️⃣ Roast the Ragi Flour
• Add 2 tsp desi ghee to the pan.
• Add ragi flour & roast on low flame for 4–6 minutes.
• Roast until it turns aromatic & slightly darker.
5️⃣ Mix Everything Together
In a large plate or bowl:
• Add dry dates powder
• Add dry fruit powder
• Add roasted flaxseeds
• Add roasted ragi flour
• Add cardamom powder
• Add 4 tsp desi ghee
Mix everything very well using your hands.
If it feels dry or not binding, add 1–2 tsp more ghee.
6️⃣ Shape the Laddoos
• Take small portions
• Roll into bite-sized laddoos
Perfect for tiny baby hands!
✨ Storage
• Store in an airtight container
• Stays fresh for 1 month (room temperature)
✨ Serving
• Give 1 small laddoo daily
