Intersectionality: Engaging Greater Conversations
The National Conversation around identity grows in volume and scope; many underrepresented communities face difficult conversations with people who are unaware of issues impacting racial, ethnic, queer identities, or the intersection of identity. While these greater conversations can take a variety of forms, the importance of engaging our friends, family, and loved ones about how being other impacts lived experiences remains vital to understanding and seeing one another. For people who simultaneously hold multiple underrepresented identities, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to explore the layers of these conversations with others—especially those whose lived experiences are different. Please join Lakeshore's United Visionaries and MPL for this crucial community conversation. As conversations grow, so follows understanding.
