José González plays his song "Open Book" live in concert at The Fox Theater in Oakland, California on March 14, 2022. Open Book appeared on Gonzalez's third studio album, Vestiges & Claws (2015). Gonzalez explained to the audience that the lyric "in the warmth of other suns" had a double meaning (sons/suns). José González is a folk singer-songwriter and virtuoso acoustic guitar player from Gothenburg, Sweden. He is also a member of the band Junip, has collaborated with UK duo Zero 7, and contributed several songs to the soundtrack to the film The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

José González is in a class by himself.
