Fishing boat off the Mendocino Coast, Pacific Ocean (4K)

Seagulls circle a fishing boat off the Mendocino Coast near Fort Bragg, California. Flocks of gulls often follow fishing boats like this--especially at the boat's stern wake--hoping for an easy fish snack from unused lobster bait and discarded fish carcasses the fishermen throw back into the ocean. The birds can also use their fishing skills to snatch up small critters stirred up by the boat's propeller.
