GAME OVER. Saw 3D, which I prefer to call Saw 7, was the final chapter in the initial streak of yearly Saw movies that lasted from 2004 until 2010. Saw 6 director Kevin Gruetert would return for this one after an initial dispute, and he would pull out all the stops to include pieces of every film in the franchise leading up to this point. The movie would bring back old characters, old locations, old tricks and old traps.

But it wasn't just old secrets that were put into Saw VII, there were also new connections, even a reference that possibly set up the eventual revival of the series in Jigsaw and something that could be retconned in Spiral.

I'll also analyze some small details you may not have noticed about Jill Tuck, cameos you might not have known about in the Jigsaw Survivor Support group and further explore the religious and cultural themes in Jigsaw's teachings.
