Sanibel Shell Club grant recipients at USF provide updates on their ongoing research on deep water mollusk conservation, comparative growth rates between fossil and modern oyster shells, and detailed chemical measurements of horse conch shell layers to determine age and estimated lifespan of Florida’s state shell.
