Florida Museum director, Roger Portell, takes Sanibel Shell Club volunteers along on a Virtual Fossil Field trip to a SW Florida shell and fill quarry. The museum scientists explain their methodology to measure the exposed outcrop face and collect samples from multiple layers of Pleistocene marine deposits to aid in their research. Hear from the Shell Club volunteers about their experience and see their exciting fossil finds.
