Unravelling the Containerd story before 2022 | CLOUDNATIVE.FM Ep 33

In this episode of TheCloudNativeFM, I'm Joined containerd by maintainer Phil Estes for an introduction and deep dive into the latest updates on containerd. This last year has seen tremendous growth in both project usage and contribution. From end-user CLI to low-level runtime implementations, there have been exciting developments and proposals toward making containerd more stable and shaping the next generation of container use cases. As containerd is the default container runtime if you're using the latest version of Kubernetes now we need to invest more time to understand the internals and more importantly how to get started with using it. Phil shed some light on how the project evolved, how the container revolution started, the story of containerd incubated to CNCF, all the 7 years of container journey unpacked here in this episode.
