Clay and Sheila Fletcher, the parents of 36-year-old Lacey Fletcher, were indicted on charges of murder in the second degree for the grotesque death of their daughter on January 3rd, 2022. She was melted into the couch, covered in urine, feces, and maggots with bed sores down to her bone as she starved and suffered for 12 years to her death.
On Thursday, February 1st, 2024, District Attorney Sam D'Aquilla gave a shocking update on the case. He confirmed Clay and Sheila Fletcher plan to plead guilty to manslaughter on Monday, February 5th, and prosecutors will be requesting the maximum sentence of 40 years at the sentencing hearing set for March 20th.
