EGYPT'S Prime Minister ASSASSINATED By MUSLIM Brotherhood | February 24 1945 #thisdayinhistory

In October 1944 Ahmed Maher Pasha became the Prime Minister of Egypt, but his decisions that led afterward resulted in his assassination by a young extremist.

On February 24th, 1945, 56-year-old Ahmed declared war against the Axis Powers in World War II. This consisted of Germany, Japan, and Italy which were united in their far-right positions and general opposition to the Allied Powers led by Great Britain, the United States, and the Soviet Union.

Reports state that a few minutes after Ahmed made his decree of war, a youth in a black shirt and red tie whipped out a pistol and fired at him point blank, killing him at the scene. The assassin was named as the 26-year-old Egyptian extremist lawyer named Mahmud Issawi. It's assumed that he was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
