What do I do with my broken or leftover rouge/compound? - Evan's Detailing and Polishing
Much respect to Julia Childs cooking show. LOL I hope everyone got a laugh out of my introduction. Live, Laugh, and Love. Silly saying but life is short. Try to enjoy it.
In this video I show what we do with all of our leftover compound chunks or nuggets. I know many polishers that just throw them away or throw them at each other. For me as a business owner wasted product is wasted money. Every bit of money I can save goes directly into my bottom line. And when my bottom line looks good my employees do well. So we save everything. On average my shop saves around 600 lbs of brown compound and around 300 lbs of green each year. The sum total of this saves me thousands of dollars a year. Not bad for a day or two's worth of work.
Remember not to over heat your rouge/compound. Over cooking it can cause it to not work as well. You need the greases and oils that are in the bars to maintain so that they don't get ruined.
I hope you find this video helpful. If you are looking to buy the same products we use then head on over to goshineon.com/shop. We stock all the items we use in our shop. Thanks for watching.
