Acid use on Aluminum with Evan's Detailing and Polishing

In this video I gotta give credit to Shiny Trucks up in Canada for the inspiration for this video. He did a killer job on showing what acid does to aluminum. I put my own spin on it since so many have asked us to do a video on acid but definitely check out his instagram or facebook for more shiny stuff.

Now I personally try to avoid acid at all costs in my shop. I believe in most instances it does more damage than good and I find that the polish doesn't last as long if I have to use acid. Proper neutralization and dillution is utterly important and most I've seen using acid don't do that. Now I'm not saying acid doesn't have a place in the polishing industry I'm just simply saying I personally don't like it. I've seen lots of polishers get great results with it but I've also seen lots of horror stories also. I truly hope you find this video interesting and informative. I tried to make it as packed full of useful info to help you make a good decision on wether acid is right for you.
