Well I put the old bar-oil stained chaps back on and headed out to the red pine landing site for some bug infested log cutting. Check out the basics of how I get trees processed en route to becoming lumber for a variety of projects. With the help of my trusty Husqvarna 555 auto-tune I make the chips fly as the trees get bucked to manageable size. Despite the physical labour involved in moving some of the logs for the tractor to pickup, the Kioti DK40se HST shows it's usefulness here in the red pine bush. With the help of the HLA 66" Root Rake and Grapple, the tractor easily moves the red pine logs onto bunks for further processing.
