Hong Kong Macau Hydrofoil Company hydrofoils – a compilation of photos and video taken from 1979 to 2000.

HMH started a hydrofoil service between Hong Kong and Macau in May 1964. The shorter journey time of 75 minutes proved popular and the HMH fleet grew to 13 hydrofoils all built by Cantiere Navale Rodriguez of Messina Sicily Italy.

HMH hydrofoils were phased out in the late1980s / 90s when the company introduced catamarans with water jet propulsion and a larger passenger capacity. In 2000 the last two hydrofoils could be seen laid up at a Yau Tong shipyard.
