Welcome to Koh Kood and A&A Travelling. This is probably the best island in Thailand for lovers of beaches, jungles, waterfalls and sunsets. This is also an ideal island to explore by scooter since the roads are almost deserted, due to the fact that there isn`t a vehicle ferry to the island. Koh Kood is also often spelled as Koh Kut.

Along with stunning scenery and crystal clear water, expect it to be quiet, even during high season.
The island is around 25 kms long and 12 kms wide, making it the fifth largest island in thailand.

The local population is estimated at under 2,500 inhabitants. The hospital, police and local governement offices are all located in Klong Hin Dam area.

The area around Klong Chao Beach and river estuary is one of the busiest on the island. There`s a good choice of locally owned, mid-price bungalows, mini-marts and cheap restaurants nearby. The beach is also home to some of the island`s high end resorts like: Peter Pan, Wendy the Poll Resort, High Season.

Soneva Kiri is a luxury sex star resort located in the north that charges incredible 100,000 thb/ night.

KOH KOOD BEACHES

KLONG MAD BEACH
This is a small beach outside Suanya Resort which is entirely aimed at Thai weekend visitors. In Klong Mad you`ill find a small fishing village that is interesting. Don`t come here just for the beach. In the small cosy fisherman village you will find a couple of small restaurants and coffee shops a guesthouse and a boutique bungallow resort.

AO TAPAO BEACH
Is the longest in the island and home to several resorts like: Koh Kood Cabana, Shantaa, Koh Kood Paradise Beach, Medee Resort and Sea Far Resort. Nearby there is a village, Klong Hin Dam which is hoe to a temple, hospital, bank and police station. The Shaphan Nam Leuk Pier is also located in the begining of Tapao Beach.

AO NOI BEACH
This idyllic white sand beach has only one resort - Ao Noi Resort. In the past visitors could come and see the beach, but right now a large sign by the entrance make it clear that visitors aren`t welcome. But if you rent a Kayak in Klong Chao Beach it will take no more than 20 minutes to reach it.

KLONG CHAO BEACH
This area is now the tourist centre of the island. This beautiful stretch of sand has the ideal mix of luxury beachfront resorts and some more wallet-friendly accomodation. Here you`ll also find a handful of small shops, restaurants and an ATM. This is our favourite sunset beach.

BANG BAO BEACH
This idyllic horseshoe shaped bay and is one of the most popular beaches on the island with a good range of accomodation. The only downside is that at high tide most of the beach disapears under water. On the main road nearby there are a few good restaurants and a couple of minimarts.

WATERFALLS

KLONG CHAO WATERFALL
The most famous waterfall on the island and the easiest to reach. This waterfall is one of the most famous sights on the island and most resorts also run day trips for its guests.

KLONG KAI KEE WATERFALL
Located on the way north to Soneva Kiri and Baan Makok. This is a medium size waterfall but with a large pool for swimming . A great spot to cool off and much quiter than Klong Chao.

HUANG NAM KEAW WATERFALL
Until 2012 this was know as the secret waterfall. But in 2012 a road was built and also a parking area with toilets for visitors.
