Carnival at Parada Típica El Choco

It has been great fun the past few days in the restaurant Parada Típica El Choco. The restaurant was decorated like a pirate ship like in the movie "Pirates of the Caribbean '. The restaurant with walkway, guns, steering wheel and pillory was transformed into the 'Black Pearl'. Marco (the owner) had dressed as the pirate captain Jack Sparrow, of course, complete with black eye patch. Especially the second night with the pirates BBQ and the third night with shows and activities and Macky the German troubadour, was well attended and very cozy. Almost everyone was dressed funny and there were prizes for the most original costumed carnival revelers. First prize was 5000 peso and went to a beautifully dressed lady. Twice the entire restaurant went dark and everything started moving as if they were on high seas. Everything shook and moved. Behind the bar a blaze spectacle took place. In short, it was a great show. Between the performances there was also lots of dancing (Rock and Roll) to the music and singing of our appreciated troubadour Macky. There was also a raffle with little flags as tickets which you could purchase for 25 pesos each. Tuesday, during the captains dinner the draw took place. Oh yeah, on Sunday there was a fun Carnival party for the little ones (children between 2 and 12 years) as well.
