DRUNK OFF DUTY COP SLAMS HEADON INTO CAR KILLING TWO, DAD SHOWS UP & FLASHES BADGE

​@Cop Watch obtained body worn camera footage from an incident involving an off duty Cuba Police (New Mexico) Police officer Brandon Barber crashing into another vehicle. Barber was also a member of the New Mexico National Guard.

According to investigators, Barber was driving the wrong way on the interstate when he crashed into the victims’ SUV. Officers said he smelled like alcohol, had blood-shot eyes, and was making odd statements. They also found a half empty handle of alcohol in his truck.

His dad, Felix Nunes, who is a Police Chief with Jemez Springs showed up to the scene to question investigators.

After his brief hospital stay he was booked into jail and had a pre trial detention hearing. He was released to his parents.

Barber was released to his parents pending the trial and is charged:
Homicide by vehicle (DWI)
Homicide by vehicle (DWI)
Great Bodily Harm by Vehicle (Driving While Under Influence of Intoxicating Liquor or Any Drug)
Open Container (Drink) (1st Offense)
