Is Religion Intellectually Dangerous? Featuring Dr. John Lennox at the University of Toronto
On March 16, 2015 at the University of Toronto, Dr. John Lennox of the University of Oxford gave a fascinating talk to university professors and graduate students titled "Is Religion Intellectually Dangerous?" Following his talk he answered questions from the floor.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER:
Dr. John Lennox is Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford. He holds a D.Phil. from Oxford, a Ph.D. from Cambridge, and a D.Sc. from Cardiff. He is famous for debating atheists Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. He has written a number of books on the interface between science, philosophy and theology, over seventy mathematical papers, and two research level texts in algebra in the Oxford Mathematical Monograph series. Dr. Christopher Perumalla is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physiology and Director of the Division of Teaching Laboratories in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto. Chris obtained his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from Osmania University in India, and a second Master’s and his Doctoral Degree from the University of Waterloo, Canada. He did his postdoctoral training at the University of Toronto. He has received many awards for his teaching, including the prestigious President's teaching award.
