7 Steps to GETTING MARRIED IN MEXICO Living In Mexico City CDMX

We walk you through the 7 steps you'll need to follow to get married in Mexico. NOTE: these 7 steps are based on our own personal experience here in CDMX and may not be exactly the same for everyone, depending on the State or City in which you choose to get married. Also, it should be noted that certain normal requirements including health tests, blood tests, and the requirement for local witnesses were suspended in CDMX due to Covid.

Marriage in Mexico is a CIVIL, legal procedure and will be performed by a judge. Wedding ceremonies are a completely different topic which we do not cover here. For purposes of marriage, you will need to use the local Registro Civil office where you live.
