While the rest of the world recovers from COVID and returns to their EDM festivals (looking at you Wuhan), some Americans still believe that wearing masks infringes on their “individual freedom." It’s the same complaint you hear about stay-at-home orders, gun laws or other regulations that could literally save lives. Why do some Americans put their individual freedom above everyone else? And how has the obsession with individual freedom helped to benefit those in power?
